I teach high school students in California and understand how much influence I have in forming the students opinions on the issues. I spend a lot of effort to not put my opinion in any class discussions so that the students can express and form their own thoughts with out being influenced by me, the authority figure. President Obama needs to stay out of the classroom environment when expressing his opinions. He is the ultimate authority figure and should not be given a captive audience of young people to try to influence.
I am asked often by students my opinions on certain issues and I always tell them that my opinion is not important, what is important is that they are learning to form their own opinions with out my influence.
We The People need to protect our children from propaganda of all kinds. It is bad enough that some teachers consistently put their spin on the issues but for the President of the United States to use the classroom is just wrong.
